Yo! I'm a huuuuge fan of Halloween, and it's probably my favourite time of the whole year. I recently did a video about "Soma" and I was thinking what games I like to play on halloween. The list so far:

- Castlevania (1, 2, 3, 4, SotN)
- Silent Hill 2
- Resident Evil 4
- Soma
- MediEvil
- Ghosts n' Goblins
- F.E.A.R.
- Diablo II
- Left 4 Dead II
- Outlast
- The Evil Within
- Bloodborne

And now I'm wondering: what is your favourite game to play on/around halloween?

I usually like playing Gauntlet: Dark Legacy and Luigis Mansion on the gamecube :D

Just recently got into playing horror games without panicking but I guess any resident evil game or any game with zombies in it.

Ah, Gauntlet is a fine game! I'm also quite afraid of horror games, but I've been trying to get more brave! :D

I always try to find games that have that halloween atmosphere in some way!

I'm up for whatever strikes my fancy, Halloween-themed or not. Nonetheless, I'll go along this theme, so here we go...

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines
Soul Reaver 2 or LoK: Defiance

I really should replay the Soul Reaver series again at some point. Have another crack at V:TM as well, I never got very far in it.

Soma's probably a given Alpha - I loved that game, incredibly good and creepy atmosphere. The human minds in broken machines added something intangible to it that really got to me.

Alien Isolation
Doom
Quake 1

Those would probably be top of the list for me. System Shock as well, for it's creepy, lonely atmosphere and horror value.

Doom

Speaking of Doom, I saw that a Castlevania Doom mod is in the works as of now (fanmade) and it looks great!

I would normally choose to do the entire Silent Hill trilogy (and yes any Silent Hill game made after 3 doesn't count) for Halloween, but I have become really burnt out from playing the original Silent Hill and going for the infamous 10-star ranking. I think I'll use Halloween as an excuse to get back into Dark Souls. Yeah, I know Dark Souls isn't a scary game, but I am so out of practice I wouldn't be surprised if Pinwheel manages to kill me.

It's perfectly fine to play Dark Souls during Halloween (or autumn for that matter). I think the season and holiday adds something to the experience and atmosphere in the game, and if you have a PS4 I highly recommend Bloodborne!

I've already played and beat Bloodborne on a friend's PS4. Didn't play the DLC though. In my eyes Bloodborne is the only decent game on the PS4 I've seen and/or played. I am not gonna waste money on an entire new console just for one game. I'll wait another year or so before I get one.
